At American National School, safety is always our top priority — and this week, our commitment to preparedness was put into practice with a school-wide fire drill that ran smoothly and efficiently.
The drill was conducted to ensure that all students and staff are well-prepared in the event of an emergency. We’re proud to report that everyone responded promptly and responsibly, demonstrating calm, discipline, and awareness throughout the process.
As soon as the alarm sounded, classrooms were quickly and safely evacuated. Teachers led their students out in an orderly fashion, following the designated escape routes. In just a few minutes, the entire school had gathered at their specific assembly points, and every student, teacher, and staff member was accounted for.
Safety officers and school leaders moved through the campus to ensure that all areas were cleared and secure. The quick response and organization shown by everyone involved helped reinforce the importance of being prepared and staying calm during emergencies.
Fire drills are a vital part of our school’s emergency preparedness plan. They help ensure that:
