On 25th September 2025, our school campus came alive with color, pride, and tradition as we celebrated Kandoora Day — a special occasion dedicated to honoring the rich culture and heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
Students arrived dressed in their finest traditional Emirati attire. Boys proudly wore the elegant Kandoora, while girls dazzled in beautiful Abayas and traditional dresses, reflecting the timeless beauty of Emirati fashion. The sight of everyone in cultural dress brought a strong sense of unity, pride, and belonging to our school community.
Throughout the day, students engaged in a variety of exciting activities that helped them learn more about the UAE’s history, values, and traditions. From storytelling sessions about Bedouin life to learning about Emirati hospitality, crafts, music, and food, it was a fun and enriching experience for all.
The Kandoora is more than just a traditional garment — it is a symbol of national identity and pride for the people of the UAE. By celebrating Kandoora Day, our students not only wore the clothing of the past but also stepped into the stories, customs, and values that have shaped the country.
The United Arab Emirates has a deep and proud history, rooted in Bedouin traditions, strong family ties, and a close connection to the desert and sea. Despite its rapid modernization, the UAE has held tightly to its cultural values — a balance that teaches us the importance of remembering our roots while moving forward.
Kandoora Day was more than just a dress-up event — it was a meaningful celebration of identity, respect, and learning. It reminded us all of the importance of preserving and appreciating the heritage that defines our nation.
We are proud of our students for embracing the day with enthusiasm and respect, and we look forward to many more cultural celebrations that bring our community closer together.
