At American National School, we believe that a strong partnership between school and home is the key to student success. In that spirit, we were delighted to host our Parent Orientation sessions — a valuable opportunity to connect with families, share important information, and kick off the new academic year with purpose and positivity.
Orientation for Grades 1 to 10 – Held on September 11th
The orientation for Grades 1 to 10 was a well-organized and informative event designed to help parents understand the school environment, expectations, and support systems in place for their children.
Parents were warmly welcomed with coffee and traditional sweets, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere to mark the beginning of what promises to be a wonderful year.
During the session, we introduced:
- The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Heads of Departments (HODs)
- Key school policies and code of conduct
- Health and safety protocols on campus
- Assessment structures and grading systems
- The importance of regular attendance and punctuality
The interactive session also provided space for parents to ask questions and better understand how we can work together to ensure a positive and productive school experience for every student.
Orientation for Grade 11 – Held on September 30th
Our Grade 11 orientation was particularly special, as this group represents our very first graduating class. With this important milestone in view, the session focused on career guidance and academic planning.
Parents were briefed on:
- Subject choices and academic pathways
- University preparation timelines
- Career counseling support provided by the school
- How parents can actively support their children through these crucial years
We are excited to journey alongside our Grade 11 students and families as they take these significant steps toward their future goals.
